It'll be a busy year for me

I've been giving a lot of thought to a couple of things I've posted about:  Project 365 and a weekly interview.

First, as far as my first Project 365 goes I've decided to end it with yesterday's picture.  I will be beginning a new one very soon.  In order for me to focus on what picture to take each day I've decided to give a topic to each day of the week:

On Mondays I will take a picture of something small or in macro.
On Tuesdays I will take a picture of toys.
On Wednesdays I will take a picture of someone (this is in regards to my weekly interview.  More on that in a bit).
On Thursdays I will take a picture of me (self-portrait).
On Fridays I will take a picture of food.
On Saturdays I will take a picture of "me crushing heads".
On Sundays I will take a picture of, well, whatever.

I don't know when this will begin but it will be no longer than August 19th.  I'm hoping this week (hint hint-possibly tomorrow).  But once the ball starts rolling it won't stop for a year.

Secondly I've decided to conduct interviews on Wednesdays and will post them here.  I'll title them something like "Wednesday Meetings" or "Meet...".  Hence the reason I chose Wednesday as the day to take a picture of someone.  I think it'll be fun for people to meet others.

Questions won't consist of much.  My first two questions will probably be something like, "What's your name and where are you from?" and "What do you do for a living?".  I will throw 8-10 random questions and finally will ask if they have a website or page they'd like to share so that others can get to know them.

I may begin with friends and family but hopefully in the near future as my blog grows so will people I don't know that I will interview.

So guess who will be my first victim?  You may get to meet my fiancee very soon...

Any suggestions or comments are welcomed.

Anyone reading yet?

So I told you guys (anyone reading yet?!) that I would post food pics.

And so this morning we decided on having some egg and pesto on toast.  Now because of the way I cut the oranges and arranged on them plate, it sort of came to life... and it wasn't very happy:

I'm actually very excited to have posted my first picture on this blog.

If you want to see more wonderful food pictures you can view them on my Flickr page.

Speaking of pictures and Flickr,  I began doing a Project 365 in August of last year and am obviously nearing day 365.  However, I have skipped days so as of today am at day 128 of 365 so there's no absolute way I'll squeeze about the other half in a week.  So now I have to figure out if my next Photo A Day should be focused on a specific topic (I just found this group.) or simply at least take one pic, even if it's just a whatever one for the day.

Now, time to crush some heads.

Day 1: A little intro...

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.

I'm not focusing on anything in particular at this point, just a day in the life of... me.

One thing you will see a lot of are food pics.  My fiancee and I have begun cooking better since March of this year, which has impacted our health better every day.  To give you an idea, when we started I was at 255 lbs and am now at 220 lbs.

One thing I'd like to do in the very near future here is feature someone I don't know, whether it be a local business owner or a random stranger on the street or someone I know.  I just have to plan some interview questions.

And now, a little about me...

I'm a Mexican-American male born and raised in Chicago.  My fiancee and I decided to move somewhere we've never lived in, and because she'd already been to Cincinnati, I decided to give it a visit and liked it.  We're going on 2 years in about a month.

So stay tuned for more of the marvelous life of Abel... my Marvelabelous Life.
