Stop the World...

First order of Business:  I'd like to say Thank You to my first subscribers.  "Thank You!"

--

A few nights ago I woke up after a dream where I was 70 years old.  I'm not sure exactly what the dream was about but I do remember thinking to myself, "Oh, man, I'm 70.  I only have a few more years left.  20 more if I'm able to make it that far."

This brought to my mind what I wrote about a few days ago, the one about the Mid-Life Crisis.

Of course I still have a while til I reach 70 so there's still much to do to live a very full life.

So I'm excited to announce that I will be starting a new job very soon.  I'm very excited because I'm not exactly happy there, not to mention that even though I won't tell you what I do now I will tell you this:  You will not want me on the other end of the phone line.

But now that I will start my new job in two weeks it will be customer service oriented which is my forté.

This past Friday and Saturday we went to Columbus, OH for an Introduction to Court Interpreting class.  It was quite interesting and am looking forward to starting that in the near future.

Pre Mid-Life Crisis

A few nights ago I couldn't sleep because I wasn't sure what my future holds.  I think I'm a little young still to have a mid-life crisis.

As I was laying in bed, trying to sleep, I was pondering what'll happen when I turn 50.  Will I still enjoy taken photos for the fun of it?  Will I still be blogging?  Will I still be the fun person I am?

And then I remembered that one of my nephews asked my not too long ago, why don't I take pictures of Domos anymore.  Well, I've kind of run out of ideas, yet that's not to say I don't look for new ideas for pictures.

Speaking of pictures,  I've kept up with my Photo a Day.  Here are Friday-Today:

I'm not a fan of my self-portrait this week but nonetheless it is the best I came up with.

*Saturday-So I've been struggling with Saturday's.  First I was going to focus on "squishing heads", then I changed it to "google eyes".  This time I decided to focus on Flickr's Our Daily Topic group.

So I've been wanting to continue interviewing people but being that up until now I don't have any readers I'm kind of demotivated to do so.

Well, folks, I'm out for today.  I'll be back soon.  Have a great Weekend everybody.

Tiring Week

Oh Man!  I'm tired.

I've been working overtime at work and by the time I'm home I'm exhausted.  Hence the reason why I've not uploaded anything in these last few days.  Not to mention that there's a family emergency so I may not update anything until Sunday.

Nonetheless I've continued to take a picture each day based on the topic for that week:

As I said, I do have a family emergency to go to tomorrow.  However I am very excited to see family I haven't seen in ages.

So if I don't update anything until Sunday as I mentioned before, have a great weekend everyone.

Healthy Food Sunday

Today was just our typical Sunday.

Basically we make a list of what to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner, for the entire week and make our grocery list.  Today was a bit different.  I decided that in order to save some of the groceries from going back, instead we buy what's needed until Wednesday night, and come Wednesday we'll make a list of the rest of the week until Saturday night.  This way our fridge isn't overstocked causing food to go bad sooner.

Usually we start with Aldi's for most of the canned items.  Afterwards we head out to Meijer and finally for anything else we can't find we go to Kroger.

Now, I'm sure I'm not the only one, but whenever I see buttons or toys that play music or a lot of timers, of course they must all be played with.  Such is the case of these timers which I set to go off in 10 minutes:

So little time to set the timers!
Sorry Meijer but you mustn't tempt me with such toys.

So as I'm walking around with our cart we saw some Chair & Ottoman sets and I decided to test them.  They sure did feel awesome.  As I'm sitting there relaxing I notice the box for them and I'm wondering what is the purpose of the woman on the picture; why isn't she sitting on the Chair and why isn't the child playing on the Ottoman instead of laying on the carpet:

Way to sell me on this set.

Beginning August 1st we decided to go meatless for the entire month.  Today we decided to try out some new recipes and all I can say is they are phenominal:

Smokey Chipotle Chocolate Chili
Mango Pistachio Rice Pudding
Portobello 'Big Mac' Burger

Finally, I'm very excited to see that I've been posting everyday for a week already.  I figured I'd post once or twice a week but am happy with my progress.  Maybe once I get more followers I'll begin vlogging as I had intended a year ago.

Uh-Oh, Joseph Gordon Levitt's about to fight the guy on the walls and ceiling of the Hotel (Inception).

Gotta Go Everyone.
